Books worth reading.

There is so much that I can say about this book! I was fortunate to meet Austin in person and then had to read this book. It is still my #1 book that I recommend to anyone that wants to learn about the experiences of a black woman!
Brit uses her story of coming out and dealing with the fall out of her Christian community to share why it is worth it to live as our true selves. Very easy read and provides important takeaways for everyone!
This is only one of two books listed here that I have not yet read (YET), because it just came out!! While I have not yet read it I have heard Paula speak on different topics regarding what she has learned since transitioning and I have zero doubts that this book will be incredible!
Full disclosure, this is a book written by a white woman. Being aware of that perspective this is a helpful starting place for learning more about race conversations as a white person. I would encourage you to also buy a book by a black author about race if you haven’t already. (I’m Still Here is my recommendation, above)
Another beautifully written memoir that my wife now swears by! Glennon presents her story about leaving her marriage to fall in love with a woman in the course of discovering how to live her true life and break free from the life she was told to live!
A great resource written for white people like me. Emmanuel gives very tangible insight to answer specific questions that white people may have about race. Plus, he reads his own audio book and has an amazing voice!
This is the second book here that I actually have yet to read, due to not yet being released! Julie is an incredible person and having heard some of her story I know that this book will be profound! She survived conversion therapy after coming out and I have no doubt that her book will be incredible as she is a gifted speaker as well!
