The Epics Podcast invites us out of our comfort zones to hear the stories (or epics) of others so that we may better understand them and then be a part of making a real and positive change in the world.
Are you a part of the problem or the solution?
It is really easy to stay in our comfort zones. For those of us who recognize the injustices of the world we often don’t know where to start or how to engage social justice. This confusion often results in us doing nothing and unknowingly embracing our ignorance. That means that we are now becoming a part of the problem not the solution.
Stories Impact Change.
We believe in the power of stories. Hearing someone's unique story has the ability to show us their humanity, which is now so easily lost or hidden. Through interviews and reflection we will hear from the ignored, the broken and the silenced of our communities, and what their unique stories are. We will lean into uncomfortable conversations and work to gain an understanding of hardships that are unfamiliar to me. I hope to see the humanity in everyone to better understand others, honor their stories, and then be a part of sparking real positive change.

Hello, I’m Alex
Alex Wait - Host of the Epics Podcast and Founder of Epics Productions
After spending a career in non profits I have seen the amazing work that an organization can do providing help and hope to so many. But I have also witnessed and experienced burnout when my efforts on the frontlines of a cause were being misunderstood, undervalued or at the worst, unseen.
I created my own podcast, The Epics Podcast, to engage with social justice by providing a platform for people who are different from me to tell their stories. I believe that the foundation of hate and discrimination is a lack of understanding of those who are different from us. Stories have a unique ability to breakdown that misunderstanding and hearing them will lead to positive social change.
I have now created Epics Productions with the same intention: to create an accessible and dynamic platform for stories to be heard and be a part of making a positive impact on our world.
